Fish Hawk Water Damaged Flooring
The broken coupling in the dishwasher soaked the laminated wood flooring in this Fish Hawk kitchen with water overnight. Unfortunately, this was not high-grade engineered laminated flooring, so it absorbed water and began to cup. This water migration rendered the planks non-salvageable. Our SERVPRO crew removed only the boards necessary to dry the plywood subflooring with our air movers and drying mats, as show We monitor, over several days, with metering devices until a standard mark of moisture content returns to the subflooring. We can then replace the removed kick-toe trim and the flooring, "Like it never even happened." We recommend installing hard or resilient tile in active water areas of the home.
