Bloomingdale Storm Damage Demolition
This residence in Bloomingdale was soaked with groundwater from a recent tropical storm. The Before Photo shows the initial mitigation by our SERVPRO crew. We performed a controlled demolition to remove and discard the non-salvageable and contaminated sheetrock at a level just above the waterline. We removed the carpet and pad and disposed of them since they were old and impregnated with biohazard materials from the water. The After Photo illustrates the finalizing of the drying process with an LGR dehumidifier and three air movers. We monitor the drying until the moisture content is in the required range of about 10-12%. Then we can install new carpeting and gypsum board, paint the walls, and leave "Like it never even happened."
